AUSTIN - Defensive coordinator Gene Chizik thinks 13 could be a lucky number for the Texas Longhorns.

Ideally, that number is the average score Chizik would like to see the Longhorns' defense hold opponents to this season.
"Any time you can be under 13 points for the year, you have a chance to win a lot of football games," he said. "Staying under 13 points is not easy. If you would throw out a number, that would be a good one to aim for."
Under Chizik, Auburn led the nation in scoring defense (11.3 points per game) and ranked fifth in total defense (277.6 yards per game) in 2004. The Tigers, who went 13-0, also finished 10th in passing defense (173.5) and 12th in rushing defense (104.2).
Chizik said he does not plan to make wholesale changes on defense during his first season at UT, which is breaking in a third defensive coordinator in as many years. Greg Robinson left in the offseason to become head coach at Syracuse.
"We kept a lot of the same things," Chizik said. "There's only so many ways you can play defense."
It also was announced Wednesday that the annual Texas-Oklahoma game will be called the SBC Red River Rivalry. The name change was announced as part of a new three-year sponsorship agreement with the two schools and SBC Communications Inc. The game formerly was known as the Red River Shootout.
The name change was aimed at political correctness and to coincide with this year's 100th meeting between the two teams, a UT official said.
This year's game is Oct. 8 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
What's next up on the "stupid liberal, lets change all the words and phrases" agenda. What is wrong with these silly bastards, that they won't just LEAVE SHIT ALONE, that hasn't bothered anyone for a hundred years, but now seems to be important enough, to turn a society, and it's language on it's head.
Fuck anyone, who thinks that this "language modification", has accomplished anything.
There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences.
