A bit more insight into the life of speed's bro.

When I was a teenager, I got into a singing group called the We Together Singers.
All of my brothers and sister (I'm youngest) had been in the teen age group, so it was natural that I'd join as well. I delayed a bit and joined my senior year of high school. I had "little brother syndrome" and wanted to wait until well after my next older brother had left the group before I joined.

It was, to say the least, a life altering experience.
In a very real sense, it is where I met my wife (although we were never actually in the group at the same time.)
My life long friendships were established during the short two years I was in the group.

In a nutshell, it was a teenage, Christian (Catholic established and supported), folk rock, group of kids dedicated to the message. Our method of witnessing was through music. We'd practice twice a week and do music at Saturday night mass.

Over the holidays, one of the adult leaders died in an accident at home (he fell and broke his neck.) Quite a few of the varied generations of kids that came from the group reunited for the funeral, and have been talking a less grief filled reunion. In that spirit, I (as essentially archivist and current leader for the group), have been assembling some videos I've shot (or had shot) of past reunions. (Video wasn't common in the early '80's when I was actively in the group.) So I thought I'd post them here to give ya'll a taste of part of my life.

They should all be accessible at:

There are two distinct settings. One (the uglier video quality) is in 1994 at the hall we practiced at. It was a Christmas reunion and after the group had officially disbanded. The other is at Camp Millhouse at a 2001 reunion concert. Camp Millhouse is a camp for physically and mentally challenged individuals, and it was the first year my autistic daughter had attended... so I put together the concert.

Although I never played guitar when I was IN the group (I played piano), I'm the only guy playing in the Millhouse vids. It was only after I was out of the group that I picked up guitar. I pretty much taught myself how to play when my oldest was less than a year old.

Mrs. X is also in the vids, but I'm contractually obligated to not volunteer which one is her.
